HEAT ADVISORY

 

The National Weather Service has issued the following Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Watch.

 

A Heat Advisory effective from now until 10 am Tuesday, August 3 and an Excessive Heat Watch in effect from Tuesday morning, August 3 through Wednesday evening, August 4 for the following Missouri counties:

Dunklin and Pemiscot

 

An Excessive Heat Watch effective from Tuesday afternoon, August 3 through Wednesday evening, August 4 for the following Missouri counties:

Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne

 

A Heat Advisory in effect from 10 am Monday, August 2 until 8 pm, Wednesday, August 4 for the following Missouri counties:

Boone, Callaway, Cole, Moniteau and Osage

 

A Heat Advisory in effect from 11 am Monday, August 2 until 8 pm Wednesday, August 4 for the following Missouri counties:

Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright

 

A Heat Advisory in effect from noon Monday, August 2 until 9 pm Tuesday, August 3 for the following Missouri counties:

Andrew, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Daviess, DeKalb, Henry, Holt, Howard, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Randolph, Ray and Saline

 

A Heat Advisory effective from 10 am – 9 pm Tuesday, August 3 for the following Missouri counties:

Knox, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls and Shelby

 

A Heat Advisory effective from 10 am Tuesday, August 3 to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 4 for the following Missouri counties:

Audrain, Crawford, Franklin, Gasconade, Iron, Jefferson, Lincoln, Madison, Montgomery, Reynolds, St. Charles, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, St. Louis City, Warren and Washington

 

The forecast is for continued hot and humid conditions with the potential for triple digit temperatures for portions of the state on Tuesday.
